Earning Secure Attachment
HOSTED BY Dr. Jake Johnson
July 16 – 19, 2026 | Rooted Oaks
A Weekend Retreat on Attachment, Trauma, and Relational Healing
Earning Secure Attachment is a weekend retreat for adults who want to understand the patterns that shape how they love, lead, and live — and to begin the work of changing them. GUIDED by Dr. Jake Johnson the weekend weaves together substantial teaching, deeply experiential practice, and shadow work activities in a held, intentional container.
Most of us carry attachment patterns we never chose. They formed early, lived in the body long before we had words for them, and now quietly shape our closest relationships. This weekend is an invitation to step out of the noise of everyday life, learn what is actually happening beneath the surface, and discover — in your body and in connection with others — that secure attachment can be earned.
Time is balanced between teaching, paired and small-group practice, embodied experience, and personal reflection. Participants leave with both the conceptual framework and the lived experience needed to keep doing this work in their own lives.
